Airport Transfer

Arriving at Marrakech airport and finding your way in the medina can be a daunting experience. We can arrange for a taxi to pick you up at the airport and bring you to our Riad at the standard airport taxi rate (15 Euro for up to four people). For larger groups, a bigger car can be arranged depending on the number of the group.

Food and Drink Eating is serious business in Morocco. The Moroccans know that the best meals are the ones prepared at home. The preparation of a meal can take all day, from the morning market haggling for fresh produce to the theatrical presentation of the dishes on the table. If you wish to experience a special homemade meal there is no better place than at your Riad in Marrakech. Our in-house cook will prepare a magnificent feast for you which you can enjoy in an amazing atmosphere.

You can choose to have your meal at the coolness of the courtyard, the atmospheric dining room or the romantic terrace. The menus are chosen based on seasonal fresh produce, following an early morning visit to the market to purchase the ingredients to your meal. Vegetarians and vegans as well as people with special diets, are well catered for, please contact us for details.

We are also happy to offer cooking classes to our guests who will also participate in the meal preparation and enjoy the meal they prepared themselves, at the end of the lesson!

Lunch and Dinner are served with bottled water. In the Medina of Marrakech the Riads are not licensed to sell alcohol, but if you wish to have wine with your meal and you can bring your own bottle (you can buy these in major supermarkets and shops outside the medina) we will be more than happy to serve it to you.

As a guest of Riad Mur Akush, you are at home. Coffee and tea are at your disposal, and our staff will be happy to prepare them for you.

Our generous breakfast can be served any time you require and anywhere you want (the terraces, the courtyard, the dining room, the salon, or your room).

Wi-Fi & Laptop

All guests are welcome to access the internet through our Wi-Fi network.

With two separate routers in the house, we have excellent coverage in all areas of the Riad, enabling trouble-free surfing whether you are relaxing at the courtyard, resting in your room or enjoying the views of the terrace.

Access is completely free of charge. If you do not have your own laptop, the Riad also offers the facility of a netbook which we make available to you free of charge.

Excursions, day trips

Our Riad manager, Mohamed (with fluent English and French), a native Berber with over 15 years experience as a country guide will be on hand to advise you on the various options and book trips for you if you wish. Each trip can be tailor-made to your specific requirements and needs, from a day trip to Essaouira, to trekking in the Atlas Mountains and Toubkal (the highest peak of Africa), to a Kasbah and Sahara trek. Please contact us to discuss any trip requirements that you have.

Special events

We also cater for a large number of special events:  birthday parties, hen nights, wedding parties, special occasions etc.

We are happy to organise pamper days for you and your group in our Marrakech Riad, where a small team of beauty therapists will be at your disposal for treatments, barbeque lunches and dinners, large banquets, day trips, special parties with live music and traditional dancers….

Massage

If you feel like pampering yourself in the privacy of the Riad, we can organise for a qualified masseur to visit you in your room. We can also organise pampering events for you and your party.

Young Children

Due to its traditional architecture, the Riad is not always a very safe place for small children; although we welcome our young guests with much enthusiasm, please note that the safety of your children will be your responsibility.
